Review on Pure Zen Tea Thermos with Infuser: Stainless Steel Insulated Tumbler for Loose Leaf Tea, Iced Coffee, and Fruit-Infused Water - Blue, 15oz by Luis Watts

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Nice but useless until Zen replaced glass. Now it is beautiful and perfect! New update: oooh

I've had a variety of tea glasses over the years. This one looks cute but lets heat through like crazy. When brewing tea, the outside of the thermos feels almost as hot as any ceramic tea mug. Not that it's scientific, but I suspect it only keeps tea hot 10-15% longer than the teacup listed. I'm not sure what's going on here, I mean I'm not sure what the point of such an inefficient teacup. Unfortunately I'm sending it back. UPDATE: The manufacturer is sending a replacement and says it's out of character. Fingies crossed.2nd UPDATE: I was very skeptical that replacing the gag would solve the problem. I mean what can go wrong in the making of a jar? But the new glass doesn't let heat through and is almost cool to the touch. The tea stays hot. Problem solved. I have changed my rating from 2 to 5 stars. 3. UPDATE: So it's been 7 months. the paint has peeled off where the cover on the toggle switch body is closed. See photo. boo I deducted a star. This is the only glass I've had so far that actually keeps the tea warm for many hours. It's on sale so I'll probably buy another one and hope the insulation isn't as faulty as the original before they sent a replacement seven months ago. Hey Zen Teacup People: Please take quality control measures! You have a potentially great product, but it contains too many "bugs".
