My husband recently asked me to buy a monocular to take with us on our hikes as there is always a risk of mountain lions and snakes on the trails. I was specifically looking for one that would be lightweight and easy to pack without sacrificing quality. I chose this based on the reviews and my husband loves it! In addition to being lightweight, this monocular has a wide HD angle that allows us to see an optimal field of view, allowing us to keep an eye on any animals that may be on the trails we are hiking. It's 16x50 so we can see even the smallest animals like birds from afar. He can also connect to his phone with the included mount to take pictures of what he sees through the monocular. The lens is very easy to set up and also features a built in BAK4 prism rotation button to ensure you get the sharpest images and clarity. This monocular is also waterproof and weatherproof as it is nitrogen filled. It's also completely anti-fog, so you don't have to worry about your lenses fogging up in wet weather. It comes with a handy tripod that allows you to set it up and stabilize it to easily take photos or videos. This set also includes a single eye mask, a double bracket, a rope (to wear around the neck) and a carrying case. Outdoor activities aside, we just recently took this to a concert. Much better and clearer than binoculars. If you're looking for a monocular or something to replace binoculars, you'll love this one!
