Thought it would be a 5 minute fix. NOT RIGHT! I compared the plastic used in an original Volvo part that I removed from the car and this piece of junk. If you just look at them side by side you won't notice the difference. The plastic "fingers" inserted into the housing are significantly stiffer than the original part. I installed the item. I made sure it lined up perfectly with the body before inserting the pins. It is very important when inserting the pins that the "fingers" expand enough to hold the loop. It was very thin. I couldn't leave things the way they are. I would have lost the gas door. I punched through the plastic pins. Once you do this, the pins will disappear. I ended up using small screws that fit the holes very tightly. Work completed in an hour.
