Buy the right filter
Remove the old filter and check the part number. Don't worry, it won't cause water leakage. There are other Kenmore Elite refrigerators. They have different tops. The filter is behind the bottom shelf by the left door. Simply grab the shelf on both sides and lift straight up. The filter will turn out a little; Turn left to remove. Check part number 469490 and replace until a new one arrives.
