I read everything that was said about this kettle before buying it. There was nothing that ever made me think I needed to watch WHERE I put it on the stove to heat it up. I have a regular electric stove. FIRST USE I placed the kettle (let's face it, everyone's favorite burner) on the bottom right. When my water was hot, so was the handle! The entire underside of the handle is now melted, and I got burned trying to pick it up! I melted rubber on my fingers after testing. Super screwed up. The rest of the design is nice + worked well. But be careful, only use small burners or you'll blow your fingers.
