I was looking for the best table water filter for my apartment. I didn't want to install the filter under the sink or the whole house in the apartment, I wanted to use the fluoride filter that usually comes with these larger, more expensive systems. This filter does exactly what I wanted - it filters fluoride along with the usual chemical and bacterial contaminants. This may be a higher percentage, but I believe getting most of it from my drinking water is better than what most people do. Ingestion of carcinogenic chemicals intentionally or unintentionally introduced into water supplies. The water pressure leaving the filter is much better than I expected. I thought it was a very slow trickle but I've found that at the lowest pressure the water has more time in the filter and still fills a glass or saucepan fairly quickly. I've looked at almost every tabletop filter on the market in the $30-$300 range and figured this is the one that will work best for me and my family.
