Does exactly what it's supposed to, no problems.
I only use this for wetting watercolor paper so I can't tell how it works with paints. Natural hair contains a lot of water, which is distributed well and smoothly. To me it has a nice clean smell, although my son doesn't like the smell - maybe because I grew up around animals and he didn't? I am very happy with this brush. It hasn't shed and hasn't disappointed me at all after a few weeks of use. I am satisfied and recommend.
