Review on 🍞 Compact Bamboo Bread Slicer with Crumb Catcher Tray - Adjustable Thickness Guide for Homemade Bread Slicing by Phil Morales

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Lack of factory quality control. Everything seems to be working fine after I modified it a bit.

First impression was not very good due to small imperfections in the wood that I found. The first loaf of bread was a bit tricky to cut, but I made some minor repairs and now it works perfectly. There were spots on the wood that were worn and not cleanly cut. When I started slicing my first loaf I noticed it was cutting crooked so I examined the pieces and noticed that one of the sides didn't snap into place like it should. I opened it up and looked at it and noticed a small piece that wasn't completely cut out. I took a small paring knife and cut out a small piece of wood that wasn't cut properly at the factory and all is good now. Some of the other defects might not make much of a difference, but only time will tell. There are 3 cracks in total in the tree and one of them goes through allowing light to shine through. It's not bad for the price and I really can't find one that has much better reviews for less than fifty dollars. I will update if anything changes.
