We bake our own bread, so we always have to cut it. This device does exactly what we expected. It cuts evenly - with different thickness options. Looks attractive on the shelf. We are very happy with the work, the quality, the price, the ease of use and even the packaging.

Great supplier. I received the package with a small damage to the box where a piece is broken. I requested this damaged item but the supplier sent me a brand new product. Wow.Product works very well. Using a knife over 20cm long, cut the bread in small strips. Use an edge as a guide to cut through. If the crust is hard, you'll need a very sharp knife.

I bake homemade bread and always have trouble getting even slices so this really helps a lot. I love that it folds up small and I love the crumb strainer. I really like everything about it. The only problem is if you use a bread knife it will cut through the wood when you reach the bottom of the slice and you can get splinters so you have to be really careful. That's why I didn't give a full 5 stars.

I got my new bread maker and kept cutting it so the last 2 pieces were raw and didn't fit in the toaster. I tried the cheapest plastic bread slicing guide and it was a piece of junk. When I finally broke down and bought this bamboo slicer guide I was very pleased with the results. The only thing I would change is the crumb tray. With this handy little guide you can easily get even and straight slices. I put a piece of thin, flexible cutting board in the bottom so I wouldn't cut the bamboo surface. I find it best to hold the bread flat with one hand and slice determinedly, always keeping the top edge of the blade against the bamboo stand and tilting the bottom of the blade slightly to the right to avoid slicing vertical. I bake a lot of homemade bread in a bread maker. I was looking for a cutting guide to keep the slices even and straight. I thought it would fit the bill. Unfortunately the quality control was terrible. Each cutting guide is spring loaded and should fit into a slot (shown) when you flip it up and snap into place. First impression was not very good due to small imperfections in the wood that I found. The first loaf of bread was a bit tricky to cut, but I made some minor repairs and now it works perfectly. There were spots on the wood that were worn and not cleanly cut.
