Heavier cables than standard starter kit cables
Heavier than those supplied with standard NMEA2000 starter kits. I had a lead from my starter kit that had an intermittent short to my AIS VHF radio. It was a good decision. ALWAYS remember to turn off the power supply when the boat is in storage or not in use, otherwise electrolysis will affect network connections.
