Etnies don't have to prove anything when it comes to skateboard shoe design: - the thing is rock solid, doesn't wear out quickly - the strap is a really great addition if you don't like hi-tops, but good requirements - outsole is incredibly grippy (great for board control) - cushioning is on par with outsoles I typically use (footprint) - skaters who like a tight board feel might not like them because they're quite cushioning, but I do I don't like vulcs or thin skate shoes myself, so of course I tend to wear those. This shoe has it all, plus I'm a personal fan of Chris Joslin.
