I have had several leather leads over the years, the webbing wore out after about 8 months and I had to use softball glove conditioner to break them in. This arrived already softened and is ready for immediate use. I ordered a black leash a few months ago, it holds up well for two of my dogs that I use a double connector on, one doberman weighs 60lbs the other weighs 95lbs. The leash stretches a little when they pull, but I like that it gives a little. My daughter has been using it for her Standard Poodle for 6 months and is very happy with the durability of her leash. Neither your leash nor mine show signs of wear on the hook or handle.
