I received this remote control today, put the batteries in and tried to turn on the TV. The remote didn't work, I wanted to follow the instructions to enter the codes to try and get an answer. I noticed that the remote's battery compartment was very warm to the touch, and when I opened the remote to check the batteries, they were so hot I couldn't hold them in my hand, and the plastic side of the remote started to freeze hot . melt. This happened about three minutes later. Luckily I was there with the remote, I dread to think what could have happened if I had just left it on the table and walked away. This may be an isolated case, but be aware that this could be a potential problem. I rarely, if ever, review anything, but it's dangerous!
