Review on 📀 Black Sony DVP-NS710H/B DVD Player with 1080p Upscaling - Improved SEO by Gerald Mohammed

I've been playing this DVD player for about a week and so far it has lived up to my expectations. Good picture and sound. I can see some were disappointed with the lack of an optical audio out, but I would still use it on an HDTV. Pretty much every type of stereo has a single optical input, so why not connect everything from your TV to it? I want surround sound on all my devices, DVD, VCR, PS3, Xbox etc. The upconvert feature is good but let's be honest; I don't expect HD quality from DVD quality. It does a good job of maximizing contrast and making the most of 480i or 480p. I have a newer HDTV that also has a setting to max out the SD quality a bit. Both seem to work well together, but True HD is a different beast. My main concern and the reason I chose one star is that this player should be region free. Come on Sony, it's time. I'm tired of having a cheap Chinese-made DVD player to play DVDs that our expensive American models can't play. To summarize: DVDs this player is designed to play (period). It doesn't matter, in my experience, scratches, blemishes, the occasional dirt, or how many times a DVD has been cloned. If Sony released a DVD player with no regional restrictions, I would never buy another brand's player.
