Trash, fell right off the wall

My walls are painted with high quality satin paint. I attached this protection using the pre-installed foam tape. I held it in place for a few seconds with great effort. A few hours later he fell off the wall. I later reattached it and wrapped it with duct tape. It fell off again as soon as I removed the tape. The glue doesn't seem to be very good. Protector cannot be used.
