Bought this for my husband who loves to try different craft beers. I think this is one of his favorite gifts I've ever given him. He's durable, keeps his beer very cold, and loves that there's a hit every time he pours it. The CO2 cartridges are easy to insert and help maintain beer pressure. They are relatively inexpensive. I use the one that Growlerworks sells but I don't see why you can't use the others. There the beer sits cold and under pressure for 2 weeks but as the beer ran out by the end of the night I can't swear by it. Although if I leave it overnight to clean, the water is still warm the next morning! For my part it is very easy to clean. If you like craft beer. This is a necessary thing.
