I bought this monitor to connect my laptop to it. It has its pros and cons. Pros: Flexibility is amazing! I love that I can rotate it up, down, or any direction so easily. This is great for changing light and reducing glare. I've never used it vertically, but it's a cool feature for anyone who wants it. Assembly was very easy, I didn't even need instructions. It works well with HDMI cable and dongle. Cons: It's not as sharp as I'd like it to be. I am a photographer and that is very important to me. When I edit pictures I look at the picture and I think it's not sharp enough and I can't use this picture. When I look at my computer I realize that it is just a monitor and the image is usable. Conclusion: If you want an ultra-sharp monitor, I would do without this one. But if you don't mind a little graininess, this is a great monitor.
