I love this onion. It keeps my chickens warm when it's cold without hitting my electric bill as much as a red heat lamp. A small problem, but not with this product, is that it cannot be used with a ceiling light. This will melt the internal components as the dome is meant to reflect light in the specified direction and not dissipate heat, which is the sole function of this lamp. This lamp type is listed as permissible for the ceiling lamp. That is not true. Buy a special socket block designed exclusively for incandescent lamps, otherwise you will find yourself without the ceiling and the money spent on it! Neither the bulb nor the seller are responsible for this small problem, but it should be clarified.
