Review on πŸ”„ RBM 2100D Automatic Supports Inverter Reboot by Pop Henneghan

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Simple, not welded.

Preferences: - well packaged - actually has clear English instructions. Wow, good job - comes with more accessories than others. (like a flux cored ceramic welding tip!) - The mig gun is well made, looks solid and the cord length is quite long - There is customer service, but I haven't gone far enough to understand its usefulness. Dislikes: - Doesn't work. It doesn't come with a large spool adapter, but the manual says the machine requires a ?.- short ground wire. I don't understand why so many manufacturers have decided that the ground wire must be 2 feet shorter than the power wire. It seems to be the norm now. - DO NOT WELDING. Either I got a bad one, or the car is too smart for its own good. I can't place a test bead on a piece of steel (1mm thick). The machine continues to cut power and turn off from time to time. I have so many burned wires but it pulls like crazy on the wire. No adjustment has any effect. Tried different gauges of cable, tried different brands of cable. The same thing. I think these cheap inverter welding technologies just aren't mature enough. So far I've bought 2 of these welders (of different brands), each of which I have to return because it broke in a certain way. If you have one of those "smart" welders (it only has one handle and the machine's computer has to figure out the right feed rate) it's probably going to be worst. So buy them through. Revain Prime if you're still willing to take the risk else like me just grab a Harbor Freight transformer based welder and start welding instead of fixing/trying machines.
