With a baby in the house, we had to put aside beautiful slate coasters that could break because she started throwing them. We bought cork because they don't break. But she started biting off pieces of cork! Yes. You are perfect. They absorb moisture to protect my coffee table, but a one-year-old can drop them and get bitten and I don't have to worry. In addition, they look very beautiful.
