I bought this for my girlfriend's 14 year old son and he loves it. I thought I'd have to help him put it together more, but it was so easy he didn't even need instructions. I'm an engineer who has been 3D printing for many years so I knew that platform leveling is a crucial step to success and here the cheapness of the printer makes this step more difficult than necessary. You need to bring the Z-axis to the home position, then unplug the power cord (without the power switch), and then manually move the print head. It's so hard I was afraid to break it, but we made it. Also, on one corner of the bed, turning the adjustment nut from above turns the head of the screw with it, so I had to use a screwdriver from above while turning the knob from below. This needs improvement. Once the bed was level, the little printer would turn itself off and start working on the print pattern on the map. I am very impressed with the print quality from this little printer. My suggestion for the manufacturer: 1) Add a power switch. 2) Improved bed alignment. 3) Adding rubber feet on the bottom. 4) Much better spool holder. I think one of the things that really helps people who are new to 3D printing is the slicing software they've developed for it. This was perfect as you just open the STL file and click the slice button. The software knows what settings to use for the printer to produce high-quality prints. I am delighted and satisfied with this printer. I wish my first 3D printing experience had gone so well.
