First, it does an excellent job of removing hair and dirt from the drain. The biggest issue I have with using these cleaning brushes is that the main wire is TOO twisted and stiff and the bristles are too big to fit most of my drains. The brush is so hard that I have a hard time shaping it. bend with your hands to slide it into the holes. If like me you have a lever operated plug in your sink, it is very difficult to maneuver that brush through the small holes between the plug and the mechanism inside. I can't use it for a bathtub drain at all because it can't make the sharp 90 degree turns that a bathtub drain has. Although I've been able to use it with some efficiency because it's too stiff and the diameter of the drain, the bristles around the wire make it too big to easily fit my drains, I only give it 3 stars. There are other drain brushes that are more flexible to take on the contours needed to go deep down drains and are also flattened to help them slide into a tight opening.
