Functional but sturdy

In exchange for this review I received a 45cm flexible tube sink cleaning brush, sewer hair catcher, unclog tool, coiled nylon bristles, 2 pack per exchange for this review. The brushes were "functional" in the sense that they cleaned the drains well enough that I could actually get the brush down the drain. The middle wire is on the hard side so it doesn't always want to match the trajectory of the traps under my sinks. That means I'm clearing some of my drainage pathways and others less so…

Too hard and thick to get down all drains and siphons

First, it does an excellent job of removing hair and dirt from the drain. The biggest issue I have with using these cleaning brushes is that the main wire is TOO twisted and stiff and the bristles are too big to fit most of my drains. The brush is so hard that I have a hard time shaping it. bend with your hands to slide it into the holes. If like me you have a lever operated plug in your sink, it is very difficult to maneuver that brush through the small holes between the plug and the mechanism

Short, stiff and bulky

I decided to try them to compare them to the plastic strip snake which is usually a simpler but more effective tool. The curved brush allows for more efficient cleaning of the inside of downspouts, but I've found a few downsides. The first is that these pipe brushes are too short. The ones I received measure 44 cm / 17.3 inches (1 cm / 3/8 inches shorter than the description). In addition, with a handle length of around 4 inches, you really only have 13 inches of usable length to work with…

Good build quality; multiple uses; could be longer and more flexible

Actually a huge pipe cleaner. It's designed to clean the drains of the sink and does the job quite well. The bristles are stiff and will cling to anything that shouldn't be there (garbage in general and hair in particular) and pull out. Once you get rid of the nasty junk that comes out of the sewers, it will go a long way towards keeping the drains running properly. It is also very suitable for cleaning dryer openings. Although the diameter is small and will not replace a full-size vent brush…
