Installed yesterday and already looking worn

We just installed this handle yesterday and after closing the door maybe 10 times the black paint on the strike plate was already scratched to reveal the silver paint underneath. One of the handles has already broken off! The pen itself is nice, but this product isn't worth a penny if it wears out so quickly.
