Review on πŸ”₯ Spectra Premium CU2296 Radiator for Ford - A Complete Solution by Samuel Bowen

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Rubber plugs are cracked

Overall this is a good radiator and fits our 2004 Ford Focus. A serious problem is the rubber fittings or caps that attach to the two ends of the tubes. They are not made of materials that can withstand heat and pressure. The car has started to overheat and the engine is programmed to shut off two cylinders if it overheats. The antifreeze is gone. We thought we had a cracked head, a broken seal or a broken block. It turned out to be rubber fittings that are not designed for the heat and pressure of the radiator. They opened up and lost all of the antifreeze, but then came back into place to avoid revealing the source of the leak. Also, if you plan on using this radiator, plan on finding new hardware to clamp down on those ends, and good luck. We are still trying to find a suitable replacement. The rubber caps that came with the kit look cut off like they came from something else.
