I first heard about this from a person who swam the lane next to me at the local pool. I was about to buy another Garmin unit for my bike and was so excited when I knew I could get this kit. I used to wear a Garmin on my wrist while cycling, but really wish they had one installed (I also ordered a cadence kit). I read all the reviews and many said this kit would not protect my Garmin for open water swimming - I was nervous but ordered it anyway. I haven't had any issues at all - I think the complaints came from people not locking the Garmin 910XT before securing. HERE and nowhere. Last week I swam in the sea every day and never worried. Very happy with this purchase.
