Review on X-Rite RM200QC Spectrocolorimeter with Imaging capabilities by Kyle Ross

I have carefully tried to match my Kona cotton plains with Pantone The Plus Series Color Bridge Coated & Uncoated - by hand. Gray skies and cloudy rainy days make this job even more demanding. I've searched everywhere to try and find RGB, CMYK, or Pantone matches for solid Kona cotton materials, but haven't found any information. I chose Pantone's CAPSURE Color Matcher tool to use with Color Bridge and I love it! I tried it out for the first time a few days ago - I placed my Kona Cotton Solids in a room with natural and ambient light during daylight hours (highest daylight hours) and set the CAPSURE lighting setting to match the room. In the first few matches, I compared what matched CAPSURE to what I had previously found. Some of them were exactly the same as I had before, some weren't, but close. Some matches are more difficult for fabric colors and available pantone colors. Since I also want to use these matches digitally, I need to make sure there are different Pantone Matches for each fabric color. When I get a match of the same Pantone color for multiple fabric colors, I go back to the book and find the best matches for each color. My project is more detailed and time consuming than most and even for me it works great! It's an investment, but it's fully justified. I will be using this for various projects for many years!
