USB-C attached to the enclosure is handy for eliminating an area where a cable can detach and interfere with file transfers. The instructions I had were missing a step or two, but that's okay. What I don't like is that the computer's USB-C end was a bit loose. It doesn't "click" to stay firmly in place. I have multiple USB-C cables that are the same. So. When you try to move your laptop with the drive attached and you transfer a file. They will be disabled which can lead to file corruption. This happened to me a few times before I decided to use a hub that connected to the computer a little more securely. More than expected. Hope this does the job.
