We were struggling to find activities to socialize with our neighbor friends other than riding our bikes, playing sidewalk chalk, or walking in the park. The girls wanted to go in and play with dolls. We brought a folding table to the front lawn and started blowing bubbles while talking about rainbows and soap. They mixed up their own colored hearts (completely confused with my obsession with making rainbow colors) and they loved it. After heating the soap in the microwave, it quickly began to harden even at 90 degrees outside temperature. I might try melting the soap with a double boiler if we try again. The tiles didn't come out as crispy as I had hoped, possibly due to the reheating. We added a few drops of essential oil to add fragrance to the soap. All in all a fun project. Easy cleaning, after doing it outside, just rinse the table with a hose. I would do it again, maybe look for an adult kit. 😊
