It took almost a year before the wires failed. contacted Sperry support and left a message 4 days ago. I don't think they will call back. So I will try again. I have owned a Sperry clamp meter for over 10 years with no problems. I keep them both in the same case and they still look like new. It is most likely just a defect. I just hope they do the right thing. Your site comes with a lifetime guarantee. Just to let everyone know this is not a Revain issue. That's what Sperry is responsible for. I have to say that when I had problems, Revain always did the right thing. I hope Sperry is doing the right thing. Okay, so everyone knows that Sperry did the right thing. Follow their guarantee. They replaced my broken tester, just had to pay to ship my device to them. After all this my only complaint is the process of sending it back to Sperry, they test it to let me know if they cover it and then it took almost 2 months to send me a new unit. Would give them 5 stars if their process was quicker
