As a dice goblin DM, I like to use dice that thematically fit the locations or enemies my players face. Dwarven city? Metal dice. Driders? Purple and gray dice. So when my players approached a myconid settlement, it was the perfect excuse to treat myself to these macabre dice! When I first received them, I was initially thrilled, then disappointed. Many of the skulls' faces were partially or completely obscured by the moss/seaweed. Well, as long as they roll well, I can live with that, I thought. But when I tested the d20, 3 had a 12% probability of being rolled. (Each number on a fair d20 should show up 5% of the time.)Well, tough luck, I thought; that's the risk you take when buying dice. But I figured what's the harm in reaching out to the seller? So I did, and UDIXI's customer service team got back to me within 24 hours. Not only did they offer to send me a replacement set, they told me to keep the original set and sent the new set directly to me from China, for free. The new dice arrived today, and UDIXI even included a complementary holiday themed dice bag, which was completely unexpected and so sweet! The new dice look absolutely fantastic and roll well. And luckily for me, my players only arrived in the myconid settlement two sessions ago! Hopefully we'll get into some combat next session so I can really break in these dice!Tl;dr. Love my dice. UDIXI, your customer service warmed my heart. Thank you for making me feel a little less isolated amidst a global pandemic.
