Review on White Knight 1704S 20AM Chrome Finish by Anil Jaimes

I'm sure others have their doomed moments when changing a tire. My experience with Chrysler/Jeep OEM nuts and after 3 years of use the first 3 or so nuts failed on a socket wrench. By the following year nearly half of the remaining nut had rotted and the shells had to be cut off or the nut separated from the kernel. These White Knight nuts caught my eye as I could see in the pictures the metal shell wraps around the base of the bevel. Nut with full metal jacket! My stance on replacement has changed several times in the hope that this might mean a longer time before the nuts need to be replaced. The fit is identical to the OEM nut and threads smoothly. Update: The chrome is coming off in some places. because of the salt? I'm a bit disappointed. I just happened to look at them while shoveling snow off my Jeep during a big snow storm today. It's down one star (four stars) and I'll take another off if they start rusting like crazy. UPDATE: Someone asked about rim compatibility at length. it is conical and 60 degrees. Some alloys can be flat and others require a 90 degree taper. Visit the White Knight website. UPDATE: Heavy salinity due to the last storm and they are very faded now. It is very sad that they look worse in about a month of bad weather. It looks like they won't even last a year at this rate. UPDATE: The set looks very sad after more snow and salt. I deducted another star. At this rate the kit will have to be changed after this winter. April or May 2014. UPDATE: I won't reset a star, but I've tried cleaning it. Most tarnishing is chrome loss and the little shine I got was just bare metal. The good news is the nuts show no signs of internal corrosion so I will leave them in place until the shell is damaged internally from rust or corrosion. If they last three years and just look ugly but don't bulge, I'm fine.
