Once installed, it works within its capabilities. Requires the ability to save settings locally in the application and IFTTT features. My Complaints 1) Installation was a little awkward. Wires should be tighter. My garage door opener requires me to put it in the hole and it keeps opening on its own. It was really very frustrating and time consuming to get the wires to stay. The sensors must be almost perfectly aligned or you will get a false indication that your garage is open. Although the manual says they can be 1 inch apart, this didn't work for me. I had to relocate the wiring/sensors to the other side of my garage where the door and frame are much closer together (less than 1/2 inch more likely) for it to work properly. 2) Instructions may require some adjustments. . For example, I wrongly assumed that once I connected it to a garage door opener, it would draw power from there and no longer need to be plugged in externally. If you buy this, the best thing you can do is watch a video online to find out how to install it. 3) Although you can share your account with another member of your household, please note that the settings in the account are on the server side. and not on the local application side. I wanted to be notified when I opened/closed but my wife didn't want it and that's why we couldn't install the app on her phone. 4) It would be really nice if this worked with IFTTT so I could have the garage automatically open when I reach for my block and automatically close when I leave.
