I bought this multimeter primarily to measure DC and AC current with clamps as I already have a pair of more accurate clampless meters. I like this device very much! When measuring DC current, especially in the more sensitive 40A range, it should be noted that since the device uses a Hall effect sensor, the accuracy of extraneous electromagnetic fields depends on nearby currents. For a more accurate measurement, turn off the power source of the device to be measured, clamp the meter around the cable to be measured, press the relative zero button on the meter, connect the power source, and finally take a measurement.
