Review on πŸ–¨οΈ Enhanced Aluminum Printer Tension Pro: Optimize Print Performance by Phillip Hoover

Nice set but may require a bit of effort to attach to your printer

Many similar sets are sold here and elsewhere. I encountered a few minor imperfections during assembly and decided to note them so the others would be ready. Neither was a demo stopper, and since it's a common design, they most likely have the same issues. The first problem is that the hole in the backplate for the eccentric was slightly drilled on mine, so I couldn't get the pressure off. applied to the POM roller. Although it rolled, the pressure could cause a flat spot on the POM wheel, so the plate was removed and the off-center hole filed. If yours is too tight, file it in the direction of the red arrow shown in the first picture. Second, the holes for attaching the brackets to the top bar were not cut. If you don't have threads, don't try to use stainless steel screws to hold the bearing in place to bolt it on. They are too soft and are stripped off. I used a black steel hex head to fill all four. Then there was only an optical problem, since the belt did not rub. If you want to center the belt between the flange bearing used as the pulley, add 2 washers under the white plastic spacer. mounted on top. Mine isn't in its last place, I just made sure the thread clears the pulley as well if needed. It has been increased by 18mm, you may need more or less. If you don't want to make your own padding, there is one on the STL site for 3D printers. Look for "Filament Spool Spacer for Ender 3 Dual Z" and at least one should match. Thingiverse was a search element that was also used. This is not an indictment of the product as the end result was worth adding to the printer. Mine had a Microswiss direct drive added and the extra weight caused issues that were addressed with the addition of this kit.
