I liked them so much I kept them. Leggings are very soft - like oily. This is also a mistake as it makes it difficult for them to keep up with your face. Maybe I'm that small but the spats don't hold up unless I put on a good hat or something to stretch them and even out the play. The most surprising thing is the wind protection factor. They seem too thin, soft, oily, and pliable to believe they protect from the wind. I put it on an ATV once and couldn't believe it. I rode behind my husband and didn't feel the wind at all. To the point I thought it was just because I was sitting behind him, so I stuck my head out and still felt nothing. I lowered my gaiters to make sure I was in a position where I CAN feel the wind and of course I felt that cold, icy wind on my face. I put my spats back on and it stopped immediately. So they're really great at blocking the wind, which is an important factor in keeping warm. To that end, I keep them and enjoy them. My main complaint is that they won't go to bed without help. Spring.
