I've been listening to them for almost two weeks now and I'm very satisfied. My personal preferences when it comes to headphones are twofold. First, I love precise bass, deep, punchy and not muddy. Second, I hate sharp high frequencies and sibilance. However, I usually stay away from well-balanced ears. But after reading reviews about the KZ ZS10, I decided to give it a try. Not disappointed. The dynamic driver delivers more than enough bass with the clarity and detail you would expect from 4 balanced anchors per side and no hiss. I own several headphones in the $200 range and the ZS10 easily beats them all. After getting to know the KZ ZS10, I actually became less interested in listening to other headphones. And I enjoy listening to my favorite songs over and over again. What really impressed me was listening to Diana Krall's album Live in Paris on Spotify in high quality. The detail of the voices, coughing and talking of the crowd sounded like I was sitting at a live concert. Those details were missing or muffled in my other ears. I could even clearly hear the movement of the piano's sustain pedal during the quieter parts of some songs. Two minor complaints. First, clarity and detail are very good, but overall not as smooth as a good single dynamic in-ear driver. However, the level of detail and ability to hear each instrument is phenomenal. Second, they only offer average soundproofing. I switched to Comply foam ear tips and found that isolation and even sound quality improved. They're great for casual listening, they're even better for live performances. The clarity of the vocals and the overlay of the instruments in the ears is fantastic. More than enough bass for drummers and bassists. And the balanced mids are perfect for keyboards, pianos, guitars and singers. For less than $60, they have a quality that far exceeds the price. And while some reviews online are a bit mixed, I'm amazed at what KZ has put together in this package. High-quality sound, light and comfortable to wear, fairly balanced response (small V), packed in a robust plastic housing. If you have $50-$60 to invest in great headphones, I recommend them to anyone who loves superior sound quality.
