I really wanted to like this dish because I love the idea of making my own fries at home. This device is very easy to use and cuts potatoes really well. I would advise against using sweet potatoes with it as they are not strong enough to handle. I use this machine to make two batches of french fries and maybe 10 batches of french fries and the end product is beautiful and delicious. But that always made me nervous because the system had issues that I didn't think were built to last. And in the last fries basket I made, the blades got mixed up with regular fries as you can see in the picture. Another problem with this device is that there are all these tiny holes in the corners where little bits of food get stuck in and it takes a lot of effort to get them out. I think it should have been done without those holes at each end, which would make cleaning easier and maybe make it stronger too? I'm willing to pay more if I can find a stronger block with a better design because I love the idea.
