What the 'instructions' doesn't say is that if it's a factory or custom chain the chain can have a riveted master link and this tool doesn't fits. Work. While trying to use this tool to try out a few spots on the chain, I bent the buttons a bit. I would say that a tool designed to relieve pressure on an object that has been through a lot of pressure needs a little more modification. This is common in all industries these days, but minimal guidance with few illustrations is too disappointing. It would be nice to add a link to a tutorial video and PDF!
