This is my second tile product. I bought Tile Sport last year and the app told me it was time to upgrade. If this new Tile with a removable battery hadn't come out, I wasn't sure I would buy a new Tile. This is because the ringer on the old Tile was too quiet to be really effective, and I wasn't a fan of getting involved in the battery swap subscription process. Since this new Tile product had a removable battery, I decided to give it a try. This new tile is physically larger than my old sports tile. That's actually a good thing because it means the speaker is bigger too. If I called from the phone with the old tile and my keys were down and I was upstairs I could barely hear the ringing on the tile. With this new product, I could easily hear the tile jingle when I was upstairs and my keys were down. It also appears that Tile is changing the default ring frequency too, which combined with the larger speaker makes the call more audible. Alexa integration is good but can be inconsistent. After enabling the skill and asking Alexa to find my keys, she will say she's having trouble finding my phone, but the bell on the tile will start ringing after a few seconds. Outside the claimed 300ft is realistic if there is a clear location line and the bell was loud enough for me to follow. Because the battery is swappable, the new Tile is water-resistant rather than waterproof, but it's a fair compromise. All in all, this new Tile is much better than all previous generations. There's a new Tile Premium subscription that adds smart notifications, location history, free batteries, and unlimited sharing. However, I am not interested in these features, so I have not subscribed to them.
