Review on Dorman 689 200 Camshaft Synchronizer by Chris Shepherd

Revainrating 5 out of 5

$38 and 1/2 is the best deal I've had to get back on the road.

After 279,000 miles the roller pin in the oil pump shaft had completely sheared off. I saw this on Revain and thought it was too good to be true. $38 is about what I paid for a camshaft position sensor about 5 years ago. When I received it and saw that it came with a new sensor and adjustment cap I was impressed. I put the engine at TDC and used the alignment tool, although I think you can see it just as well. It caught fire and I'm back on my way for $38 and 1/2 hour time. Dorman has been very good for me for the most part. I recommend them. By the way, don't look at the picture if you have a 2000 Jeep 4.0L engine. With the knife drive you get the right thing. I think they just use a generic image.
