Review on Tombow 51626 Recycled Colored Pencils, 24-Pack - Assorted Colors by Guadalupe Culii

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good set of soft crayons with good pigmentation

Recycled Tombow crayons are a very good starter set of medium quality crayons. I also have a full set of Tombow Irojites. These pens are nothing like irojites. They're soft and pretty easy to blend with a hand blender. In my experience, Irojiten is a hard pencil that is harder to blend. The only exceptions to Recycled are Silver and Gold, which are still pretty hard leads. Recycled pencils have a beautiful wooden body. The core is nice and thick and adheres well to the shell. I don't have any breakage problems with either a manual sharpener or my electric sharpener. I was able to achieve good pigmentation, layering and shading with these pencils. I colored my first project with all 24 colors as well as with mixtures of different colors. I will post a photo of this project. I think that's a reasonable price for a starter kit. I wish there were more colors and the pens were freely available. I really missed the skin tone in the set. Otherwise I enjoyed using the pens and they did their job well.

  • looking forward to
Cons
