Review on Replacement Cartridge Assembly for Delta Monitor 1700 Series Tub/Shower Faucet Valve from 1998-2005 by Aaron Ayo

The product comes boxed (not in the original Delta box) with all required parts and o-rings. Installation was pretty easy after watching an online YouTube video on how to do it. I photographed the disassembly of the old cartridge so that the assembly is correct. When I disassembled the original old cartridge, there was a HOT SIDE label on the top. After assembly, I installed a new block with the HOT SIDE up. After the installation was complete I turned the water back on and unfortunately the hot and cold was in reverse order. I had to disassemble everything and turn the cartridge upside down so the HOT SIDE label was at the bottom. The attached picture shows the old original label at the top. However, I'm not sure if it was a QA issue with the label printing on the wrong side. Or because they are not original parts as they are. I just wanted everyone to know about my experiences. Once I rotated the cartridge around the HOT and COLD valve, the operation was correct. Otherwise the parts fit exactly like the OEM Delta and I no longer had a leaking tub faucet.
