I love the design and build quality of the current pitcher filter. The filter has a different shape (triangular) in most filter products on the market. The filtration rate is fairly fast and appears to be effective in reducing contaminants and solids in the water. The volume is standard and easily fits in my fridge. I don't think it improves the taste of the water much, especially where I live in Southern California (where tap water tastes weird!). This is not currently possible, but the company will have them available for sale soon. Another issue I noticed is the filter status indicator, which is literally a 90 day countdown timer. Therefore, unlike some similar jugs on the market, it cannot show the condition of the filter. Aside from these issues (and if filters become available soon), the current alkaline filter jug seems to innovate with efficient filtration and regulation of the pH of drinking water.
