This device saves a lot of space for users with multiple devices that share the same peripherals. I originally used separate USB and HDMI switches to switch between my Windows PC, Macbook Pro, Raspberry PI and Security DVR. This device allows me to use the same keyboard, mouse and monitor for all 4 devices and works fine. The device is easy to set up and comes with all the necessary cables. Keyboard shortcuts and a separate keypad are a big plus. These options allow you to place the device under or behind a table and still switch devices. The unit comes with a USB cable for power (not a brick), but as far as I can tell it's not needed. My monitor (1080p), keyboard and mouse work without a power adapter. Definitely recommend it.
