This is a good bike rack, but with good reason it can only hold 4.2 bikes per side. The handles are annoying. We have 4 mountain bikes with no fenders and 2 large cruiser bikes with full fenders in our group. Because of the full-size fenders, cruiser bikes must ride with the front wheel. At the back of the rack, we placed the cruisers on the outermost racks and rode the other bike into the middle rack. The front has space for 3 bikes. Either 2 outside wheels with a tire in front and one in the back or 2 outside wheels in the back and a middle wheel with a front tire in the front. I am changing my rating from 4 to 5 stars
