My wife and I bought an antique door to use as our front door. Nice but apparently, in the "old days" nobody cared about security. this. there was no deadlock. As a hobby locksmith and do-it-yourselfer, I have replaced dozens of door handles, bolts and standard locks. But I've never had to cut holes in a door. This product makes it child's play. Our door was ready for lock installation in about 10 minutes. The guides fit perfectly and really leave no room for error. My only concern is making sure the product is in the right place while actually fitting it to the door was a bit tricky. If maybe a small clip could be added to temporarily attach it to the door before adding the screws that would help. Overall a great product that I will likely use for many years to come.
