At this price point it's not fair to give less than 5 stars. The spectroscope scatters light and the instructions in the Experiment Guide are helpful and good. The small picture of the spectra in the description is probably the picture taken when the spectroscope is pointed at the LED display. I wear trifocal lenses and the spectrum becomes clear when I move a little away from the viewing port. This spectroscope works. Finding different light source sources is a difficult task. At this price you are buying it for fun. Do not look directly at the sun. Ambient sunlight renders the full spectrum of the rainbow.
