First try didn't last that long for me

This was my first time trying dip powder.
I've followed the directions and the colors came out really pretty but they started peeling off my nails after about a week. I'm not sure if that's something to be expected or maybe my natural nails were not buffed enough to hold on to the color, or these are intended to last longer on the fake nails.I will try again and revise my review if my experience changes.
