Review on Enhanced Park Tool SBS-3 Socket & Bit Set with 37 Pieces by Rob Dixon

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Decent quality, slightly outrageous price

I'm torn about this set. In general the instruments are of fairly good quality. Certainly better than anything you could get from most Chinese-made tools, but still lacks the finish and refinement of high-end tools (snap-on, mac, etc.). Not sure I would call it professional "bought" quality. For the price it should come with a proper carrying case - the plastic tray that comes with it is very tatty. It's WAY too big to fit in anything other than the deep drawers of your tool box. The fit of the tools to the bolts and nuts is good and everything works well. If it came with a real case and had a better selection of small socket hexes I would easily give it a 5 star rating. It's not quite up to the standards I've come to expect from the Park Tool, but it will serve its purpose in my toolbox. Pros: Large selection of hex and torx sockets that fit 90% of most bike hardware. Goes well with the equipment. and I foresee no rounding problems with any hardware. Cons: The tool tray is complete crap - it really needs a sculpted body. Does not include 2mm and 2.5mm hex sockets commonly used on many Shimano components (especially 2.5mm).
